Shah Rukh Khan, the renowned Bollywood actor, recently saw an increase in his security level to Y+ category following his complaint about receiving death threats. The Maharashtra government took this step in response to the actor’s concerns. According to news agency ANI, Shah Rukh filed a written complaint stating that he had been receiving threats after the release of his movies “Pathan” and “Jawan.”
What happened with Shah Rukh Khan this year?
This move comes after previous incidents that raised concerns about Shah Rukh Khan’s safety. Earlier this year, security was beefed up around Mannat due to protests against the actor.
In August, protests were held against celebrities endorsing online gaming apps, and in March, there was an incident where two individuals broke into Mannat premises by scaling the outer wall. The Mumbai Police managed to apprehend the intruders with the help of security guards.
Shah Rukh Khan Receives Y+ Category Security
The Maharashtra State Intelligence Department (SID) issued an official communication on October 5, instructing all police commissionerates, district police, and special protection units (SPUs) in the state to provide Y+ category security to Shah Rukh Khan immediately.
Under this category, he will have 11 security personnel, including six commandos, four police officers, and a traffic clearance vehicle. These security personnel will be stationed at Mannat, Shah Rukh Khan’s residence in Mumbai.
