Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Danteshwari Temple in Bastar, Chhattisgarh, during his trip to the state. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Danteshwari and is one of the 52 Shakti Peethas in India, which are significant shrines honoring the divine feminine.

Prime Minister Modi Inaugurates Steel Plant for Job Opportunities
During his visit, the Prime Minister inaugurated the National Mineral Development Corporation’s integrated steel plant in Nagarnar, Bastar. This steel plant is expected to create numerous job opportunities, both in the plant and in related industries, contributing to the region’s economic growth. Additionally, several developmental projects worth over ₹26,000 crore were initiated, including the foundation laying of key initiatives.
Prime Minister Modi Boosts Connectivity: New Rail and Road Projects
In the realm of transportation, the Prime Minister unveiled new railway projects, such as a rail line between Antagarh and Taroki and a rail line doubling project between Jagdalpur and Dantewara. He also laid the foundation stone for the Boridand-Surajpur rail line doubling project and the redevelopment of Jagdalpur Station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Furthermore, he inaugurated the Taroki-Raipur DEMU Train Service, enhancing connectivity in tribal areas and facilitating local economic development.
In terms of road infrastructure, the Prime Minister dedicated a road upgradation project from ‘Kunkuri to Chhattisgarh – Jharkhand Border section’ of National Highway-43. This new road will significantly improve connectivity, benefiting the people living in the region.
It’s important to note that Prime Minister’s visit to Chhattisgarh occurred amidst state assembly elections scheduled later in the year. Various political parties are actively engaging with voters, making efforts to garner support.
