Following the defeat Indian players visibly disheartened left the field with bowed heads. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was present at stadium, consoled the players in dressing room encouraging them and acknowledging their impressive journey in the tournament.

The Indian team led by captains Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli received words of support and encouragement from Prime Minister Modi. Despite the setback Modi urged the players to smile emphasizing that entire nation was watching and expressing pride in their achievements.
Australia Clinches Victory, Ending India’s Dominant Tournament Run
In the final, India posted a total of 240 runs, but Australia successfully chased the target, with Travis Head’s remarkable century (137 runs in 120 balls) and Marnus Labuschagne’s unbeaten 58. The defeat marked disappointing end to India’s otherwise dominant run in tournament, where they had won all their previous matches convincingly.
Australia, initially facing two significant defeats, made a remarkable turnaround in the tournament, winning every match after their shaky start. The final concluded with Glenn Maxwell securing the winning runs, sealing Australia’s victory by six wickets. The defeat marked India’s first ICC trophy since 2013.
