The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara celebrated its first year of sales in India. In an interview with CarWale, Maruti shared some interesting details about the SUV. They mentioned that the hybrid versions of the Grand Vitara make up a big chunk of sales, with 62% being mild-hybrid variants and 23% strong-hybrid variants. There are also CNG and Allgrip variants, accounting for 13% and 2% of sales respectively.
Grand Vitara’s Swift Success: Short Wait Times and High Demand
Even though there isn’t a high demand for the Grand Vitara’s AT with AWD version (which is a type of transmission and all-wheel drive system), Maruti has no plans to remove it from the lineup. Maruti Suzuki proudly stated that they’ve sold over 1.2 lakh units of the Grand Vitara in India within first year. Also, customers don’t have to wait too long to get their hands on one, with average waiting period of eight weeks across India.
