Maruti Suzuki is set to launch the new generation of Swift and Dzire in India in 2024, bringing exciting upgrades to both models.
Infotainment System:
The highlight of the new Dzire is its 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a vital addition for the Indian market. This system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, built-in navigation, a TV function, vehicle information, and compatibility with dashboard cameras. It also features Suzuki Connect connected car technology. Additionally, popular apps for music, weather, news, and more are expected to be part of the package.
Dashboard and Climate Control:
The Dzire will sport a new dashboard design, similar to the Swift but with a faux wood finish unique to the Dzire. The climate control system will move from traditional dials to toggle switches and dedicated displays, enhancing the overall cabin aesthetic and functionality.
Engine:
Powering the new Dzire will likely be the Z12E 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, offering around 100bhp and 150Nm of torque. This engine will be paired exclusively with a CVT transmission, providing a smooth driving experience.
Safety Features:
The Dzire will come equipped with modern safety features, including an electric parking brake and a dedicated hold button, creating more space in the center console and improving driver safety. Additionally, the car is expected to have six airbags for enhanced safety.
Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS):
While most features are confirmed, the inclusion of Level-2 ADAS is still uncertain. This advanced system might include adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a 360-degree camera, lane-keeping assist, and high beam assist. Although not confirmed for the Dzire, it hints at Maruti Suzuki’s future direction in vehicle technology.
