Under the leadership of billionaire Elon Musk Twitter has seen significant changes including rebranding and removal of blue verification checkmarks. Now social media platform is introducing new feature that allows users to do live video broadcasts.
Elon Musk testing the live streaming feature
Elon Musk himself recently mentioned on Twitter that he would be testing the live streaming feature on X. He even humorously added that he would attempt to speedrun the Tier 99 Nightmare dungeon on Diablo, making sure not to collect any malicious hearts.
Before this announcement, Elon had shared an image of a camera icon and stated, “Live video now works reasonably well. Just tap the button that looks like a camera when you post.”

Elon Musk conducted live stream on X
Elon Musk went on to conduct a live stream on X through his @ElonMusk account. During the stream, he playfully inquired if the live broadcast was functioning correctly. He also introduced his colleagues and even showed off some bicep curls using a 45-pound dumbbell. The live stream gathered impressive 12.1 million views.
However it’s important to note that Elon Musk and his team have not provided information on when this feature will be available to general public on X or if it will be exclusive to X Blue subscribers, which is a common practice for new features on platform.
