Volvo has officially stopped selling the XC40 in India. Even though the car is still listed on the company’s website, there’s a note saying that the XC40 mild-hybrid is no longer being sold in this market.

The XC40 was available in a single, fully equipped variant called B4 Ultimate, starting at Rs. 46.40 lakh (ex-showroom). With this change, the XC40 Recharge now becomes the most affordable Volvo product in India, priced from Rs. 56.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
Back in March, we mentioned that Volvo was likely to discontinue the XC40 because the XC40 Recharge, its electric counterpart, received positive response. Additionally Volvo has set goal to become an all-electric brand by 2030.
