Today Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court granted bail to prominent political figures including Rashtriya Janata Dal chief and former Bihar CM Lalu Yadav his wife Rabri Devi, and Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, in land-for-job scam case. The court allowed their release on personal bond of ₹50,000 and scheduled the next hearing for October 16.

Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi, and Tejashwi Yadav personally appeared before Special Judge Geetanjali Goel, following the summons issued on September 22. The case based on chargesheet filed by CBI involves 17 accused including the Yadav family and dates back to May 2022. During the hearing Lalu Yadav remained confident, stating that there was nothing to fear as they hadn’t committed any wrongdoing.
