A tragic accident occurred in Bihar Kaimur district when a tourist bus, carrying pilgrims from Odisha who had just completed a religious ritual called Pind Daan in Gaya, collided with another vehicle near Pachahganj. The incident happened around 3:00 am.
The bus en route to Varanasi attempted to overtake and crashed leading to the death of 45-year-old woman named Paali from Sonpur district, Odisha. Several other passengers were injured in collision.
Response by Authorities: Rescue and Medical Aid Efforts in Full Swing
Authorities including National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and police swiftly responded to scene. Efforts were made to rescue passengers trapped inside bus. The injured individuals were taken to Kudra Primary Health Center for initial treatment, and those with severe injuries were later transferred to Sadar Hospital.
The deceased woman’s body was sent for a post-mortem examination after the necessary paperwork was completed, as per the Kudra police.
