They decided to create a State Mahua Board, focusing on the collection and processing of Mahua, a vital forest product gathered by tribal communities. This initiative aims to enhance the value of Mahua and explore its use in biodiesel and ethanol production.
Chhattisgarh cabinet approves old pension scheme
Additionally, the cabinet approved the restoration of old pension scheme for officers and employees of Chhattisgarh State Power Companies hired after January 1, 2004. They also gave the green light to amendments in Chhattisgarh Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2023.
Furthermore, administrative changes were sanctioned, including creation of two additional director positions in the Directorate of Public Instruction in Chhattisgarh’s capital, Raipur. These decisions reflect the state government’s efforts to support local communities, enhance forest resources’ utilization, and ensure the welfare of government employees.
