Alia Bhatt has started shooting for her new film, Jigra, which is a joint project by Dharma Productions and Alia’s production company, Eternal Sunshine Production. Alia shared pictures from the first day on her Instagram. One photo shows her by her vanity van, another captures her intense look, and there’s also one with her getting makeup done, accompanied by her sister Shaheen.
Alia expressed excitement for this new journey, writing, “And we’re rolling… day one of bringing our jigra to life… love TEAM JIGRA.” Her colleagues like Sonam Kapoor and Ranveer Singh sent their best wishes.

Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala, was announced recently. Alia, who made her debut in Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year, expressed her enthusiasm for producing this film with Dharma Productions, saying it feels like coming full circle.
The movie’s teaser was shared by Karan Johar, revealing the release date as 27th September 2024. Vasan Bala, known for movies like Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota, is helming this project. He has also worked as a casting director on notable films like Dev.D and That Girl in Yellow Boots, showcasing his experience in the industry.
