AAP MP Sanjay Singh has taken legal action against his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in the Delhi Excise Policy case, a matter currently before the Delhi High Court. Singh was apprehended on October 4 regarding a money laundering investigation into alleged irregularities in the now-repealed Delhi excise policy for 2021-22.

The agency claims Singh played a significant role in formulating and executing the policy, benefiting various liquor manufacturers and retailers. Singh vehemently denies these allegations, labeling them as false.
Recently, a special court extended Singh’s custody with the ED until October 13 due to the discovery of new evidence during a recent search conducted by the agency. Singh has alleged that the ED officials attempted to move him without court authorization, raising suspicions of ulterior motives. The Aam Aadmi Party has accused the ED of conspiring against Singh, linking these actions to political motivations.
